Chris Jeyes
Barrister & Leading Junior
Chris Jeyes is a practising barrister of 20 years' Call and a Leading Junior for 2026. He has appeared at all levels of the UK court system, has been a UK government lawyer, and has trained around 750 lawyers on AI in practice. He holds the Law Society's Ethical AI Certificate for Legal Professionals.
He knows the firm side from the inside. For four years he was a partner in a solicitors' firm, where he managed and supervised the conveyancing team across several offices, handled the professional indemnity renewal and the information security policy, assisted the MLRO, and designed and built the automated case-delivery systems that a team of around 50 then ran on. That is where his interest in AI began.
He still builds. He uses his own locally run document workspace every day on matters running to 20,000 messages, so the sessions are built on the tools your people already use and on how they actually use them. He has spoken on AI in legal practice on Times Radio Breakfast (11 July 2026) and the AI in the UK podcast (23 July 2026), and for the Legal Practice Management Association at its 2025 AGM and in a members' webinar on 14 May 2026.
